Paul Mickey Learning Series presented by Tony Rothering, Lincoln Land Community College

Tony Rothering will discuss the purpose and methodology of capturing and banding birds  including current banding projects in central Illinois. Rothering is a biology professor at Lincoln Land Community College and a permitted bird bander with the Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders. He coordinates/assists with several banding projects in the central Illinois area. He also contributes to a number of annual bird counts/surveys throughout Illinois.

Each month, the Paul Mickey Learning Series features a different speaker and topic in the Auditorium at the Illinois State Museum. For additional information, please contact events@illinoisstatemuseum.org or (217) 558-6696.
