- Dickson Mounds, Lewistown
Ken Waldman has drawn on his 30 years in Alaska to produce poems, stories, and fiddle tunes that combine into a performance uniquely his. Ken started playing fiddle in 1981 and has toured full time since 1995 appearing at some of the nation's leading universities, festivals, arts centers, and clubs. Ken is truly an original. A talented poet and writer, he is also an accomplished fiddle player and imaginative composer of new tunes. His performances are as close to traditional fiddle styles as you can get, with a down-to-earth presentation and a stylistic purity that harkens back to the days of the old time musicians. But what distinguishes Ken is that he uses this music in performance as backdrop as he shares original poems and tells stories about this music.
