FREE admission event presented by the Organization for Bat Conservation and the Illinois State Museum.
Celebrate the unique role of bats in the Great Lakes ecosystem as insect eaters, while dispelling myths and misinformation that generate needless fears and threaten bats and their habitats around the world. The festival features activities for children, families, educators and conservation professionals. Presentations, speakers, live animals, hands-on activities, games for kids, and interactive exhibits provide a full day of fun and environmental education.
Additionally, please join us later that night, from 8 PM to 10 PM for Science Night at the Lincoln Memorial Garden to watch bats emerge at sunset!
