- Illinois State Museum, Springfield
One hundred years ago, after a long struggle, women earned the right to vote in the United States. The suffragettes marched, made banners, wrote letters, and gave speeches until their rights were recognized! This Super Saturday celebrates the 100 years of women’s suffrage and will encourage children to think about the causes they care about. Visitors can make a sash for their favorite cause, make a take-action button, and learn more about the women who fought for their cause!
Super Saturdays offer thematic activities recommended for children ages 5 and up each month. Activities take 30-40 minutes to complete and are included with Museum admission. Parents and families are encouraged to participate. For additional information, please contact Sarah Davis at email@example.com or (217) 782-6044. Sponsored by Bank of Springfield.
