Thursday, January 9, 2020 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Location:

  • Illinois State Museum, Springfield

Event Venue:

Illinois State Museum Auditorium

Fee:

$15 adults, $12 Museum Members and Children under 12

The Burr Oak String Band offers up a crowd-pleasing mix of lively instrumentals and heartfelt harmonies. Masters of a variety of instruments and styles – old-time, raggy blues, bluegrass, folk – they appeal to a range of musical sensibilities and perform in a variety of settings, including concerts, festivals and dances. While rooted in the traditions of American Old-time string music, the close harmonies and the interplay of mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and clawhammer banjo bring the Burr Oak sound to other musical genres and traditions.

For the 2020 season you can purchase advance tickets and/or Season Passes online. Tickets for the January concert are available in advance at http://bit.ly/matmjan20 or at the door.
