Make the Museum a stop on your Spoon River Scenic Drive!  The Museum offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of the American Indian in an awe inspiring journey through 12,000 years of human experience in the Illinois River Valley. Visitors will enjoy three floors of interpretive exhibits, multi-media displays, a children's Discovery Center, and a third floor Observation Deck overlooking a picturesque part of the Illinois River Valley.

As part of the weekend festivities, the Mackinaw Valley Longriffles will present life on the Illinois frontier at the Rendezvous Encampment on the Museum's grounds.  Wearing period dress, presenters will show how various utilitarian household objects and tools were made and used and will demonstrate wood carving, weaving, cooking techniques, and other crafts.

Admission to the Museum and all activities is free and will be availabled during regular Museum operational hours from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
