How do you celebrate winter in Illinois? Is it lighting candles, making ornaments, or building sandcastles? Learn more about winter trends and traditions with crafts and activities. In-person activities include making a birch bark ornament to take home, discovering Illinois winter animals, and more. Continue the learning at home with a take-home kit with bread in a bag to bake, a hot drink to make, and more.

In addition to the Super Saturday activities visitors can view the Memorial Holiday Fest wreath display, participate in seasonal activities including a snowman craft, an Oobleck Snowman S.T.E.A.M. Challenge, a holiday family photo op, and a scavenger hunt.

The Bank of Springfield sponsors this program. Registration is not required. All visitors ages 2 and older must wear a mask and social distancing will be enforced. All activities will be available during this come-and-go event on a first-come, first-served basis.
