Garden in the Sky

Garden in the Sky is a public art installation by John Siblik of DeKalb, Illinois.  Twenty-four, 5 foot in diameter spheres are suspended from the trees along a one half mile stretch of I&M Canal in Lockport, Illinois.  The spheres are solor powered and maintain a three hour glow into the post sun-set hours.  The artwork was originally designed as a painting by the artist that has now come to life as a three dimensional interactive sculpture.  Garden in the Sky challenges the viewer in their sense of space, scale and responsibility toward nurturing the enironment.

Garden in the Sky
