John McDavitt, artist from Crest Hill paints a mural in White Oak Public Library on display until October 30, 2018. McDavitt has received an "Our Town" grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to execute the project. The Summer Art Series program is a partnership between the the Gaylord Building, a site of The National Trust for Historic Preservation, Main Street Lockport, the City of Lockport and Illinois State Museum-Lockport.
Sam Love from Gary, Indiana is a poet and recipient of an "Our Town" grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
