Join Curator of Anthropology Logan Pappenfort as he illustrates the various lifeways of the people who once inhabited the Central Illinois River Valley.  He will explain how the material culture of the indigenous people of Illinois can educate us on not only the ways the native people of the valley lived in the past, but how these traditions are carried forward through time and are still being utilized in the modern age. Each talk will focus on different aspects of native life, including technology, ecology, symbolism, and economics.

This program series will be held on the following Thursday afternoons-July 14 & 28 and August 11 & 25—from 1:00-2:30 p.m..  Admission is free.
