Exploring Nature Through Art: An NEA Big Read Interactive Workshop

Dickson Mounds Museum
Take a deep dive into the connection between artists and the environments that inspire them. Meet Illinois artists who engage with our wild world and hear firsthand about their experience. Once you’re thoroughly inspired, take part in some hands-on and minds-on activities [including….]! Participants in this free workshop will receive a copy of “Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law” by Mary Roach as part of the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read. The Illinois State Museum, in cooperation with the Illinois State Museum Society, is celebrating the human-wildlife connection with this nonfiction book filled with interesting and humorous stories of conflict, cooperation, and cohabitation.
