Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

The Illinois State Museum is temporarily closing its flagship facility to visitors beginning Thursday, August 1, 2024, to accommodate a plumbing project that will involve asbestos removal and construction. The project is expected to last three months.

Host Your Child's Birthday Party at ISM

Host your child’s birthday at the Illinois State Museum!  Parties include the use of a private room, admission for guests, a scavenger hunt, and more! The party fee is $50 for Museum Society Members with a Family/Household or higher membership and $75 for non-members. To learn more about parties, read the party guidelines here.
