Join us at the Illinois State Museum on July 13, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, for an exciting and delicious Curious Kids program all about ice cream! We will embark on a tasty journey exploring flavors of ice cream from the United States and Mexico during storytime. The fun doesn't stop there! Kids will get to unleash their creativity by imagining their very own flavor of ice cream with modeling clay, and together we’ll mix up a batch of homemade vanilla ice cream that everyone can taste! With hands-on activities, tasty treats, and a sprinkling of educational fun, this Curious Kids at the Illinois State Museum is a sweet summer experience you won't want to miss!

Curious Kids is a free monthly activity and story hour crafted for young children, families, and daycares. For more information, please email DNR.ISM.Events@illinois.gov

Parking: The ISM is located at the corner of Spring and Edwards Streets. You can find free on-street meter parking along Edwards Street in front of the Museum. However, vehicles will receive citations for exceeding the park time and not adhering to the posted times on signs. Free parking is available at the State Capitol Complex Visitors Center Lot, one block west of the Museum.
