The ISM Teacher’s Lounge returns to commemorate Mental Health Awareness Week with Mindfulness Practices: Cultivating Heart-Centered Communities Where Students Focus and Flourish by Christine Mason, Michele M. Rivers Murphy, and Yvette Jackson.

Join Curator of Art and History Education Cori Claycomb as we break down the mindfulness techniques discussed in the book—such as breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, and cognitive reflection—and explore how they can benefit both educators and students during difficult times.

This free, virtual presentation is open to all educators. Teachers with a valid Illinois Educator Identification Number (IEIN) will receive 1 CPDU for participating.

Educators may also receive a free copy of Mindfulness Practices. After registering, an ISM Education team member will reach out to confirm availability.
