Curious Kids: Spectacular Service Dogs

Join us for a pawsitively exciting Curious Kids adventure at the Illinois State Museum on September 14, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30. This month features four legged friends and their fascinating careers as service dogs! 

Kids will discover how service dogs are trained and the remarkable jobs they perform during storytime. Afterwards, kids will learn about training commands and the importance of asking permission before petting any dog with fun and engaging games. Don't miss this unique opportunity to enlighten young minds about the incredible bond between service dogs and their human companions.

Curious Kids is a free monthly program for kids aged 5 years old and under. For more information, please email DNR.ISM.Events@illinois.gov

Parking: The ISM is located at the corner of Spring and Edwards Streets. You can find free on-street meter parking along Edwards Street in front of the Museum. However, vehicles will receive citations for exceeding the park time and not adhering to the posted times on signs. Free parking is available at the State Capitol Complex Visitors Center Lot, one block west of the Museum.
