Join us at the Illinois State Museum on December 16, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for an enchanting children's art workshop led by local Illinois artist, Rebecca Luna! During this captivating class, children ages 8 and up, accompanied by adult supervision, will dive into the vibrant world of Lotería. Get ready to unleash your creativity as Rebecca guides kids through  painting their own large-scale Lotería card. It's a chance for young minds to explore their artistic talents while delving into the captivating history behind this iconic Mexican game. 

This FREE class is part of the Museum's Las Posadas holiday celebration, but registration is required for Rebecca Luna’s art workshop, and spaces are limited!

Parking: The ISM is located at the corner of Spring and Edwards Streets. You can find free on-street meter parking along Edwards Street in front of the Museum. However, vehicles will receive citations for exceeding the park time and not adhering to the posted times on signs. Free parking is available at the State Capitol Complex Visitors Center Lot, one block west of the Museum.
