Join the Society on Tuesday, August 27 at 10 a.m. at 928 South Ninth Street, for a FREE behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the Sangamon Transit District. This outing is perfect for not only our usual guests but young ones, homeschool students, and their caregivers too!
Our transportation experts work tirelessly to keep our transit system running smoothly, handling everything from maintenance to scheduling to route planning. They ensure that the Sangamon citizens can keep moving. Take a tour of the Sangamon Mass Transit District building to see how drivers are trained and how buses are maintained, and even accompany a bus through the wash!
