Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

The Illinois State Museum is temporarily closing its flagship facility to visitors beginning Thursday, August 1, 2024, to accommodate a plumbing project that will involve asbestos removal and construction. The project is expected to last three months.

Canceled: Try It Tuesdays: Patterns that Pop

Every Tuesday, from 10 AM to 2 PM, we will host free hands-on activities for kids and families. From flowers to flight, these exciting experiments and crafts explore a variety of topics inspired by our exhibits. Try It Tuesday is only here for the summer, and you won't want to miss out!
